New opening of the playroom for Ukrainian children in Łódź, Poland

The new space, free and open to everyone, was created by Reekp Polska, in collaboration with Fundacja Aktywizacja Bez Granic, Hycom.digital and Ikea.

A space to play, have fun, study remotely or rest while parents are at work. A simple thing, which we often take for granted when it comes to our children, but that acquires a completely different meaning when it’s a gift during wartime. From the very beginning of the war Rekeep Polska – the Rekeep Group Company in Poland - thanks also to the help volunteered by its employees, immediately put in place a series of actions to give support to and welcome the Ukrainians who fled across the border at the beginning of the war with Russia.

Now in Łódź, where Rekeep Polska has its headquarters, a playroom has been opened to the public where children arriving from Ukraine can spend part of their days while their parents are busy with reception practices or are at work. The playroom can accommodate 25 children and is equipped with 5 stations for remote learning, free of charge. Rekeep took care of the construction work and is also providing meals for the children and their caretakers. The project also saw a valuable collaboration with the Fundacja Aktywizacja Bez Granic, Hycom.digital and the city's IKEA stores.

In the next few weeks another similar structure will also be completed in Krakow, thanks to Rekeep. A particularly valuable collective effort, because it helps to maintain a veil of normality - with play and work - while the madness of war seems to have no respite.
